  • 70 - 80 g honey
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick, halved
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 80 g red onion, finely sliced
  • coriander leaves, for garnishing
  • 80 - 100 g tinned black beans, drained, for garnishing (optional)
  • 1 - 2 fresh jalapeño chillies, cut in slices, for garnishing
